Meet Lola from Equine Fashionistas
Posted on December 07 2014

Lola Keene is one of the equestrians behind the social media style guide-Equine Fashionistas. They create chic equestrian looks to be worn in or out of the ring.
Meet Lola, one half of this creative duo.
About Me: My name is Lola Keene, and I am so, so excited to be working with Equestrianista! I’m a high school student in California and when I’m not at the barn, I put outfits together for Equine Fashionistas. I love quality clothes, small businesses, chestnut horses, and a little bit of bling.
As a rider: I’ve been riding for a little bit under four years, and currently lease an OTTB mare named Mandy. She may be 18, but she is still going strong and will hopefully take me through my C1 in Pony Club this spring! Because of my budget I haven’t shown much, but I have done some hunter, jumper, and equitation classes at local schooling shows. I school to event, and am working on dressage, jumper courses, and cross country.
About Equine Fashionistas: It started as a simple Instagram account, and now is mine and Ashlyn’s way of suggesting ways to pair colored breeches with fun shirts and supporting small businesses. We use Polyvore to put together outfits based on requests and trends, and occasionally host giveaways or contests. I can’t wait to start matching Equestrianista color and quality with other fun brands!
Outside of the Barn: When I’m not on a horse I work two volunteer jobs helping out with the Starlight Therapeutic Riding Program, and at a small petting-zoo-type farm in the area. I also spend time fueling my coffee addiction, taking large volumes of bio notes, and obsessively cleaning tack.
